A superb engraved goblet having a large round funnel bowl finely engraved with the arms of William IV , Prince of Orange , and Princes Anne the eldest daughter of George II of Great Britain, Inscribed with the motto Hony Soit Qui Mal y Pense ,along with the arms of the Seven Provinces with branches of oranges and leaves . over a stem with an angular knop and cushion knop above a teared inverted baluster and basal knop, all on a plain conical foot.

Height 7 1/2 ins 19 cm

William IV, (1/9/1711-22/10/1751) was Prince of Orange from birth and the first hereditary Stadtholder of all the United Provinces of the Netherlands from 1747 till his death in 1751.

A splendid goblet with very fine engraving with some diamond point for the fine details of the leaves and polished detail throughout.
