A Superb Elias Rosbach Engraved Potsdam/Zechlin Goblet

A superb Berlin or Potsdam goblet having a large round funnel bowl with gilded rim engraved with a scene of three men , a soldier, teacher or lawyer and a farmer all with a leg in one large boot with the inscription "Lehr Wehr Und Nehr Standt " loosely translating to stand on your own two feet, the reverse engraved with a shepherd ,his dog and a flock of sheep in a rural landscape, the shepperd playing a clarinet type instrument ,over a cut and faceted stem with similarly cut conical foot,

Height 6 1/4 ins 16 cm ,

The engraving is firmly attributed to Elias Rosbach (1700-1765) known for his sometimes amusing scenes, I have included a signed example of his work were a comparison of his lettering exactly matches this goblet,
