A superb pair of opaque twist cordial glasses having round funnel bowls engraved with the "legs of man" and on the reverse a bird pecking at a swaddled baby in a crib,over double series stems and on plain conical feet.

Height 6 3/4 ins 17.1 cm

The Legs of Man have been associated with the Isle of Man, a self governing dependency of the British Crown, since the 13thc Century, despite lengthy searching its not been possible to identify any meaning or relevance to the bird attacking a baby to the island, something for the next owner to possibly research !!

A superb pair of cordials with very intriguing engraving , in perfect origial condition.
