A very fine composite stem marriage goblet. This is the rarest form of composite stem combining an opaque twist with a plain section and an element featuring air. This tall marriage goblet is finely engraved with clasped hands emerging from clouds with radiant sun above, surrounded by a floral cartouch with polished detail and to the reverse has the inscription. An Identical glass signed by Jacob Sang is in the Brussels Museum of Art, after comparison with the kind assistance and permission of the curator an attribution of "circle of Jacob sang" was thought to be appropriate, this same glass is illustrated in Glass Through The Ages B Haynes, plate 76(d).
