A very nice Jacobite sympathy double series opaque twist wine glass having an ogee bowl decorated with an open and closed bud along with the familiar bird looking back in hope, the lack of rose suggests this was produced at or around the time of the Old Pretenders death in 1766,by which time the "cause" but a mere hope.

The ogee bowl bowl is over a very well executed double series stem composed of a pair of spiral tapes surrounded by a pair of spiral gauze's, all standing on a plain conical foot,
