A rare large goblet having a cup bowl over a plain straight stem, on a folded conical foot .

Height 8 1/8th ins 20.6 cm

The cup bowl over a plain stem is the rarest bowl form in this group,see B Haynes p 249 section 5,when found it is usually much smaller and will be referred to as a mead glass,however this example weighing in at 721 grams would be more suited to a generous serving of wine or ale.

A magnificent goblet in perfect original condition with a few light scratches to the interior of the bowl.
