A rare and diminutive Taper Stick having an unusual cup shape sconce leading to a merese over a cushioned beaded knop and teared eight sided pedestal stem with triple merese,beaded knop and cushion knop below,all on a plain domed foot.

An affluent Georgian household would have had many candlesticks however only one taper stick would have been required to serve the purpose of lighting the full size candlesticks and therefor their numbers are far fewer.
