A fine and tall balustroid wine glass having a trumpet bowl over a teared stem with inverted baluster to the lower half, all on a folded high conical foot.

A lovely tall wine glass, a form which are frequently referred to as Kit Cat glasses , which is completely incorrect when viewing the period paintings by Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646/1723) showing members of the Kit Cat club drinking from wine glasses, I think we have to blame B Haynes in his Glass Through the Ages for this persistent incorrect attribution.
